We made our application on 32st December 2021 and Preapproval was given in June 2024. However, we have heard nothing else since then. We have not had an invite for biometrics.
Does anybody know why there is such a delay just to get to that stage or if there’s anything to be worried about?
I understand that the government will now allow applications for citizenship based on the original application date rather than from when residency was granted am I correct in assuming this?

I resubmitted all my documents yesterday and my lawyer uploaded them. She said this in her email-
“With that said, please note that we haven´t received notifications with appointments yet for the applications resubmitted in the last three weeks. Moreover, AIMA is adopting this procedure for all Golden Visa processes in the country, and we cannot guarantee that they will be able to schedule biometrics for all Main applications and family members in the first half of 2025.”
Hi All,
As AIMA asked me to upload document again (Application Submitted Feb 2023) so they can schedule the appointment for Biometrics. According to my lawyer the calendar suppose to be open on 15th Jan still no news about appointment.
Did anyone manage to schedule appointment after uploading the documents again ?

Not sure anything in PT GVs or taxes is ever “certain.”
What we have so far is a statement from an AIMA staffer on 14-Jan 2025 - but even that was just a verbal comment on a Zoom webinar .
The folks 2 posts above were pushing to get this formalised in regulation… which has been delayed again until a “new, new” Government settles in. So in the meantime we have random policy interpretations by the front line .
