I see. Have you looked through your old emails? As others who used NIFonline mentioned, they received login credentials alongside their NIF numbers, when first signed up.
If you can still use these to set up your online account on Portal das Finanças, then you are not at NIFonline’s mercy even if they completely ignore you.
