Opinion on Octanova's Horizon Fund?

Just found out about this recently created fund called Horizon Fund. Seems like an interesting way to be exposed to digital assets while also double as qualifying investment in the Portugal’s GV program. It is open-ended alternative investment fund with Portuguese fixed income (up to 65%) and digital assets (BTC, ETH, SOL; up to 35%) there management fee is 2%.

If anyone is interested here is a YouTube link of them talking about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooj-GoASGwM

Regardless of your opinion on crypto, does this sound like a fund that is recognized by AIMA? Any risks associated with Octanova being a brand new firm with no proven record and small AUM?

Not sure about the fixed income. The old law on qualifying investments talked about investment funds “aimed at capitalising companies”. The new law refers to “investments made in commercial companies”, but I think the intention was always that this would be equity investments, not bonds. So there is a risk at least that AIMA might not regard this as qualifying. I would avoid it for that reason.
