Hi - I have my residency card under the Portuguese Digital Nomad Visa. I am curious as to how the residency requirement works since by definition “nomadic” work necessitates travel outside the country of domicile. Does anyone have information as to how strict the residency requirement might be? It was my understanding that the no more than 8 months out of the country applied to each year, but it seems to apply for the whole first 2 years of the granted visa, which means a person would have to spend 16 months inside Portugal which would make it difficult to hold a remote job that requires some travel.
