Self-sufficiency EU citizen - Malta

Hi

I’m an EU citizen. I have read that one of the requirements for obtaining permanent residence in self-sufficiency in Malta is to demonstrate that I have at least € 14’000 in the bank.
If I don’t have €14,000 in the bank but I have more than €14,000 in stablecoins (USDT/EURS) in my cold wallet or a well secured centralized lending platform, would the amount of stablecoin assets be accepted as an equivalent of proof of funds by the Maltese authorities ?

Kind regards,

Reiner

A crypto wallet is not a bank, so I’d presume the answer is no.

Yes, it makes sense.

Kind regards
