Just heard from my from my attorney that I’ve got a biometric appointment on Feb 20th in Lisbon. June 2023 applicant. What’s notable is that I was one of the rare cases where I received the email at the end of December to update my documents but my portal didn’t allow documents to be uploaded, so was kind of in limbo. Looks like AIMA’s working their way through even the problem cases at this point.

I do not get any updates about the appointment of dependents from my agent. Feel like AIMA pauses the appointment for dependents at the moment.
Congrats! Have you already had your principal’s appointment? Or were they scheduled at the same time?
I don’t think his/her situation lines up with everyone else. They have previously posted they themselves are on a dependant application and looking to renew.
In WHATSAPP group, one lucky applicant received the appointment for both primary and family member on the same date. Anyone also gets good luck to get appointment for dependents as well ?
When did he receive the appointment from Aima was it with the 29th of October appointments or he received it separately?
No family appointment for me
According to the message on WhatsApp, they just received recently.
But is it for initial biometrics or renewals? If it’s the same group I’m in, I thought it was a renewal or a family where the primary applicant had already done their biometrics. I would love to be wrong about that.

Can anyone confirm which apostilled documents are required for the primary applicant biometric appointment (besides those related to the investment). My laywer is telling me that only the apostilled FBI background check is required. I had submitted an updated birth certificate earlier this year.
Required by whom? Our lawyer told us only the apostilled FBI check is required…but there is nothing stopping an AIMA agent from being excessively “diligent” and requiring updated birth and marriage certs as well, so if we wanted to be paranoid, we could bring those, too.

I think marriage certificate and birth certificates will be required if dependents are included in the appointment which is not the case until now as per my understanding, they did send any appointments for dependents
My agent does not ask me to bring any updated versions for criminal report, as well as other certifications.
I applied when July this year. All hardcopy of original certifications were mailed to attorney when Jul.
Same here. We applied in 2025 with biometrics appointment to happen in January 2026. Our lawyer says all we need are passports and boarding passes as the lawyer has the files/originals. I will be bringing my own copy of everything we sent, however.

I applied for my spouse, September in 2024, didnt get anything so far …
My lawyer also said just to bring the originals of the docs submitted in January to the biometrics appt. Haven’t decided yet whether to get a new apostilled FBI background check JIC.
