The online renewal portal for a time required a NISS. I think that has been sorted out now.
You can get a NISS without registering an activity.

Did you have the apostilled FBI clearance translated into Portuguese and then certified? or just submitted the Apostilled English version ?
Translated and apostilled at the state department. Pretty sure that’s the only acceptable way for thastrong text document.

FWIW, I did supply the printout of my SNS record at renewal as I live ‘full time’ in PT. If that’s the case for you too I think you should supply it (or your private health insurance paper).

Question for people who have obtained NISS but don’t live in Portugal. I know that I can get a NISS online, but are you using your home address (e.g. the States, Turkiye, UK, etc.) or are you using your lawyer’s office?
I used the lawyer’s office address in Lisbon, easiest solution
