News! We submitted my updated documents on March 10 (this past Monday) and today received a biometrics appointment in Lisbon in June. So, progress!
Congratulations!
How did you receive notification? Did the entire family get appointments?
We got an email from our attorneys, saying āWe have just been able to book you and your family for biometricsā¦ā So they were able to make the appointment. I donāt know yet if they were able to upload documents for my family or whether the system allowed appointments for all of us even though my documents were the only ones in the system.
This is very encouraging news! Can you share when your initial application was sent in? We sent in our updated documents at the end of Jan and have yet to hear anything back. Your update gives me hope!
November 2022
Interesting so it implies they did the booking themselves rather than AIMA assigning slots? Seems contra everything AIMA said during their big fancy lawyer conferenceā¦
Right!? Thatās my understanding from their email but I donāt have any sense of how they did it.
So interesting, because ours went in June 2022. The workings of AIMA are so bizarre! But happy for you that you are one step closer, good luck!
Question is did they book on ari.sef.pt or at aima.gov.pt ?
How were you able to submit your dependents documents? It seems like many people could not.
All at the same date and office location?
Yes! Sounded too good to be true, from what Iāve read, but thatās what the attorneys have told me.
I donāt know if the lawyers were able to submit the docs for my dependents, or figured out some way to get an appointment that includes dependents before their docs had been uploaded.
Congrats! You hit the jackpot on a few fronts!
I too want this guyās lawyers
My question for you, sir, is this: Did n=1 for the entire Q4 of 2024?
I noticed the lack of a range.
Iām concerned about some recent development that seemingly impacts on GV progress.
1. is CPLP being prioritized in the same way as 882/892?
2. Portugal is getting another round of election for May after current government collapse.
My lawyer renewed my documents on March 5, but i feel i shouldnāt get my hopes up
They areā¦
Been reading this. My attorney have yet submitted my application, but im concerned about document validity. How exactly is document validity calculated? Is it true that as long as at the time of submission, documents are within 90 days, it is fine until the time of bio appointment, no matter how long the wait time may be?
Also, if family can only be uploaded after main applicant is checked, does that mean for family member it would be a different 90 day validity period?
My lawyer seemed to have expressed there is nothing to worry about as long as submission is within 90 days, but reading here I am not too sure anymore.
