Since we have the same law firm, I’m debating whether to do the same thing with the assumption that I’ll lose the first payment. I guess it’s a small price to pay…
Wait, what happens to the first payment?
It might be a small price to pay not but I have 3 depends and we cant keep paying AIMA. for a problem with their portal.
Also, were you able to pay your dependents? Please let me know.
Good question. But will find out later. For now I’m just happy it’s moving forward.
What about the dependents?
Have u actually started the process?
Yes, made the first payment a month ago and it is still “awaiting payment” I am just curious after your status changed were you able to pay for the dependents as well or not? I do not want to get stuck with paying for them multiple times as well.
Thank you @Asad! I was able to do the same thing as you and my status changed to application under analysis!
That’s great! Have any dependents been added yet?
I think this is the quietest this thread has been in a while. Anyone have success moving to analysis after paying without generating another bill?
No, our attorney had the DUC reissued last week and status changed to under analysis today. Now waiting for the DUC to be issued for my spouse.
… And the DUC for my spouse was issued today
… and status has changed to under analysis. Yay!
Were you able to get this money back?
I’m experiencing the same problem. Has anyone solved it without generating a new DUC?
Sorry for the delay. My lawyer said the following:
Once we submit their applications, we issued the Documento de Cobrança (DUC) and paid. The system still doesn’t show it as paid. We seen this problem with other applicants too.
This is what my status says:
So I guess it is still in limbo. Need to talk to my attorney to understand what the hell is going on.
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what’s going on with AIMA regarding the initial analysis payment? We’ve attempted to submit the payment twice for the main applicant, but the status still shows “Awaiting Payment Confirmation” with no formal acknowledgment.
Without that confirmation, the spouse and dependent applications can’t be submitted. Some people suggest just waiting it out—but if the DUC expires, how can we be sure they’ll respond with an approval?
Any guidance or personal success stories would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Mizzy, seems we’re using the same lawyer for our journey. What was the magic sauce needed?
This limbo is pretty annoying especially with the political winds creating more uncertainty. If there is magic sauce to unlock this please share.
