Now approx. 1 month into the new AIMA GV procedure for pre-approval and biometrics. It appears there are a few issues!!
Please comment or share any update from your lawyers or AIMA detailing what is going on or what is the pathway / timeline to resolve these issues would be great.

No initial application was made April 2023 since no comms with AIMA at all.
We have not received any notification email for updated documents to be submitted and neither have any of our friends that also have been in since 2021-22. How can we know what new documents to start requesting?
Do you have access to your portal? ur lawyer would definitely be having the same…what is the status of your application showing on that? Many of us including me have received such a notification and have also been able to successfully upload updated documents albeit sometimes post multiple attempts. For ur specific case, it is better to first get ur own lawyer’s view. Then depending on that and whether it is possible for u to update it on portal, u need to start collecting proof of funds, criminal certificate, tax id or declaration. All with 3 months validity other than a copy of passport with all pages.
One thing which now seems more or less confirmed is that AIMA has not yet started giving biometric appointments as per the new process guidelines.
I want to ask about the required documents for update on AIMA .
My lawyer asked me only for updated criminal record and POA to do the social document ……
While the lawyer of my friend asking him to sign AIMA form , POA, Tax form ……
Do you know who is right ?
As far as my understanding goes, it is not absolutely clear the scope of the documents that AIMA is asking applicants to renew. The criminal background check is definitely one of them, but the others are less certain. Different attorney are interpreting the request differently. Just because there is disagreement does not mean anyone is wrong.
Do any one know of the AIMA portal is accepting to submit updated document for family or still it only allowing the main applicant ?
No word from my attorneys that it changed to allow family.
Another user in another thread reports submitted her updated documents to the portal on February 11th. Since the prior reports of it being locked were from February 5th & 7th, I take this as positive news that the difficulties experienced by the Feb 5th and 7th people were likely a temporary technical glitch rather than something worse. If they haven’t already, they should try resubmitting.
Mine never opened at all (although we received the email in Dec '24). It just says ‘application accepted’
Hummm… I’m a Chinese, I didn’t believe your Chinese friends in Lisbon were telling you a true story about Shengen visa. Normally 7-10 day to get a tourist visa. Not as difficult as they described.
55k backlogs, let’s say on average each investor contribute 350,000Euro (some 500k, some 280k, some 350k) the total number is just a bit under 20billion…not to mention part of them had paid summon fees to lawyers and waiting for the legal action… What a beautiful, lucrative business…
55K includes family members. I guess that per application there is 2-3 family members.

A Turkish guy who updated profile at 14 th of january , had biometric appointment around end of April, begining of May.I will share the details. My lawyer did update at 14th too but no-news yet(i can check my profile by my ownself).
Does he have family members? If so, was he able to update their documents and did the family get a biometrics appointment as well?

its not mine…we have a common friend with applicant…i asked her when did applicant applied and she said that she thinks it was 14th of january which was weird for me cause i applied at 14 th also and there is no sign from my side…Then asked my friend to ask the applicant exact profile re-submission date and she said that she called main applicant again and main applicant said it was 6th of january which is earliest i heard.
