Just heard it on the grapevine?
No. According to the spreadsheet, @momo had their biometrics appointment two days ago.
Thank you, much appreciated.
An attorney I spoke with said that their clients had their July and August appointments rescheduled for September, but that’s probably for later in the month.
We have an appointment a week on Monday.
As it is a long way from home, we already have flights and hotel booked, including changes due to the Airport strikes starting next weekend!
A cancellation by AIMA will cost in money terms too.
i did indeed! went well:)
Although there was another poor woman in there sobbing, turned out they’d rescheduled her appointment to Novemeber and she didn’t know somehow. It’s possible they are cancelling some I suppose. But yeah thankfully ours went without a hitch
@momo. Thanks for letting us know. There are also two other forum members who have appointments set for late July. They have not included their tags in the spreadsheet, so I can’t rope them into this discussion. Hopefully, they will update if their appointments changed.
AIMA appointments are rescheduled for two main reasons:
1. Lack of capacity – The call center books more appointments than the specific AIMA office can accommodate. In such cases, applicants or their legal representatives are usually notified in advance, either a few days or weeks before the scheduled date.
2. Technical failure – A malfunction in the computer system. When this occurs, AIMA typically reschedules the appointment on the spot, on the same day the applicant appears for their original appointment.
