What’s the consequences of absence from the recent scheduled appointment of GV from AIMA? I remember that AIMA will arrange other time for this.
I had previously raised a similar concern regarding the possibility that a primary applicant, like myself, residing in the Middle East may be unable to attend the biometric appointment due to ongoing airspace closures. However, I have not yet received a response on this matter.
In the meantime, I have also written to my lawyer and am currently awaiting his guidance.
I believe that AIMA is treating no-shows as an abandonment of the application, but a lawyer may be able to work something out if they attend and pay the fees. I haven’t heard of anyone successfully postponing and receiving a new appointment under the new system.
I had to miss my biometrics appointment so I will let you know how this neverending clusterfuck goes.
Bad luck: I had an appointment on 8th April, but unfortunately there are still no flights from the Middle East/Kuwait due to the ongoing conflict and the airspace closure. I truly hope and pray that we can get the appointment rescheduled soon based on our force majeure circumstances. I have been in touch with our lawyer, and he believes the chances are strong that we will receive a new appointment soon given the situation on your side. Let’s see what happens next.
