I’m curious what sort of hardware we’re running on and what the upgrade is, if you don’t mind sharing. No worries if it’s a trade secret.
It’s nothing fancy, just a simple Digital Ocean instance which got upgraded from one to two (“Premium” AMD) vCPUs today, 2 GB 4 GB RAM, and now a 60 GB SSD.
This server upgrade only caused a few minutes of downtime, but there had been some issues upgrading Discourse lately which the extra storage space helped solve. Finally, running the upgrades that were necessary for Discourse took a bit longer.
