Hello guys,
I made investment in 2020 and applied for golden visa in the beginning of 2021, they approved in 2021!
But they send invitation only in June 2023, so I came exaclty and gave my biometric.
Soon it will be 2 years after giving biometry - no news at all, I have no id card, etc.
Online status in SEF: Application accepted.
In 6 months I can aplly for Portugal citizenship( 5 years from the moment of my investment).
But I think it is not possible.
I paid 2 times to lawyers to make a complain to judge, but I’m not sure that it worked.
These lawyers stopped answering 6 months ago at all.
If anybody can suggest what should I do? If there is way to clarify the sutuation?

- The five years will start from your application date, not when you made your investment, so early 2026.
- It’s pretty standard for people who did biometrics in June 2023 to be still waiting for your first card, particularly if your biometrics were in Lisbon, who are only up to about Jan 2023.
In your shoes I’d chill for another few months - there’s a fair chance you’ll get approval in that timeframe. Try phoning your lawyer if they aren’t responding to emails.
If they don’t respond at all probably better to switch lawyers to ones who will respond
