Are we trying to set up the over/under parlor bet here? Start a “March madness” backets betting pool?

It’s AIMA, it’s Portugal. They are currently saying they will let us know by summer and get them in before the end of this (2026) calendar year. So, I am going to say my spouse and children will have their biometrics done before June 2027. But well after January 2027. And that is me being optimistic. What are others’ betting lines looking like (to mix a bunch of gambling metaphors)?

Hmm. Pretty good line. One reason to take the under is because once the money grab from the primary applicants is done, they may as well start taking the cash from the dependents.

I think the interesting line would be:what happens first, primary applicant receives residency card or dependents get called.

They may want to call dependents first. In theory if they call dependents before primary gets card a lot of primaries will have to make another trip with their dependents that still doesn’t count towards their required stays.

If we are into January and primary still has no cards in hand nearly a year after biometrics, and they call dependents, I think a lot of people will quit. So maybe they need to issue cards before secondary appointments. That said, not a lot of this has made sense.
