Hi i saw that you are working with Edge like us. You wrote that you filed a lawsuit and lost. They also asked me to file a lawsuit they didnt even told me what will be the subject but they said there is a chance. I was wondering Do you recommend that I try my luck by filing a lawsuit? Or do you think it won’t work? Thank you @Minnesota72
Hello,
Once the rule was made that the final citizenship can be granted 5 years from date of application rather than from date of first residency visa, it seems that there is no advantage and even a disadvantage of getting the residency visa earlier. Assuming we get our residency visa before the 5 years, then this delay has simply reduced the number of years we are required to visit Portugal before being granted citizenship.
Unless you need the residency visa now for some reason, then I would not recommend filing a lawsuit. How does it help you?
Hello again,
Yes, it definitely helped, but I live in a country that requires a visa for the European Union, so my goal is not citizenship but to get a residence permit and get rid of the travel restrictions. that’s why I’m asking that you filed such a lawsuit and got an unsuccessful result and maybe i’ll fail also. I want to know if it is worth trying my luck or is it a completely unnecessary process where they reject everyone?
Thank you
