Moving to Malta with a dog

I’m looking to move to Malta in 2020. I’m just wondering does anyone have any advice on how easy/difficult it is to bring over a dog when moving

The information I have found is outdated. I would like to know specificaly how long if anything they would keep my dog in quarantine from I would be travelling from the UK.

I would also be interested in this answer I am looking to stay 1/2/3 months at a time maybe longer within Europe and bring my dog! Coming from the (UK)
