I applied on September 18th 2025 and my lawyer received a notification for me to attend AIMA on September 5th 2026. Pretty quick!
What’s strange, though, is that the portal still shows the process as under analysis, and I can’t book an appointment at AIMA myself.
Another odd detail: my family members weren’t notified for any appointment.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? Are you considering bringing your family along to the appointment and seeing what happens? What are your lawyers advising?
All reported attempts to carry out procedures for family members when only the investor has been scheduled have always been denied at AIMA. I would say that the chances of AIMA serving family members without an appointment are nonexistent.
Today my lawyer received three of our four residency cards. The fourth, they suspect, is simply held up in the mail.
Timeline:
March 2023: Application
4th week January 2025: Refreshed all documents
April 2025: Biometric appointment set for full family (spouse plus two kids)
July 2025: Biometrics completed for all, paid at appointment
April 2026: Cards issued
May 2026: Card received by lawyer for main and two kids, lawyer expects the spouse’s card is simply a day or so behind in the mail (fingers crossed).
Do you see the amount you paid at your recent Biometric appointment in the AIMA portal? Someone on this thread said they see it - I do not…
When I click on the Euro symbol in the AIMA portal I see the original fee of € 618,60 but I do not see the € 6314,20 paid during the January 2026 biometrics appointment.
Wow… That’s the first I’ve heard of this… I did my biometrics and payment on Feb 19, 2026, so I’ll be relieved if my card will be issued within the next month or two… (fingers crossed). I’ll report here once I get my card.
