New AIMA Process - Receiving Final Approval/Residency Card

So you are not in the right topic. This topic is the ones whose biometrics are after 2025 Jan. These biometrics includes payments as well.

I have a theory but I am not sure about it.

I guess AIMA is not entering our information into system just because if they enters, it is triggering our card process. They could not find a way to halt our process and they found totally disregarding our applications in this way. If we can see our payments in the system, it means that they entered our information and process can continue. In order to stop our process AIMA just pile up our applications somewhere in their offices. They even can not see that our biometrics are done or not.

@Cemo - Sorry. I thought I was in the correct tab…oops.
While my dependent did complete biometrics (and paid in full April, 2025) to date he has not received his card and the payment does not appear to be processed.

Does anyone have any news on these cards?

My wife did her biometrics and paid in April 2025 and still no card.

Her status is still “application under analysis” on the ari portal.

According to the spreadsheet, under the new process, about half of those who had biometrics in 25Q1 have recieved their cards. For Q2, it only appears about two out of twelve have received cards. No one from Q3 or Q4 have recieved cards.

Of course, this is a limited sample and requires individual updates. For example, I know of at least one board member who had a biometrics appointment in June and recieved cards in November. They may not have been on the spreadsheet or forgot to update. Also, there are individual circumstances that prevent extrapolation from each case (e.g. did they have a lawsuit, etc.).

Sorry I don’t have clearer information - trust me, I wish I knew.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I Completely understand the lack of data, but this helps already. Atleast gives me some hope to say the least! Thank you for your time!!

May I ask what the general feeling is about a lawsuit against AIMA for those who completed biometrics 6 to 8 months ago, paid the fees, and have not received a card?

Are lawsuits still being ignored by AIMA?

Would be very interested in your opinions please.

Was wondering what current times are looking like from when people go in do bios and pay to receiving the cards? I assume this was for only people after Nov 1 2025 till now

I don’t believe anyone who was a part of the mass biometric appointment scheduling from the end of Oct 2025 have received their card yet.

FYI, payment at biometrics started approximately January 15, 2025. There are numerous people who did bios/payments in 2025 and very few have received cards.

Curious about those - do most people who have done the payment-at-biometrics have a “Transferido SIISEF” status in the portal?

Okay so this will be a very interesting metric to follow. People who paid at bios timeframe till receiving cards. Had no idea it started Jan 2025 and the backlog continues…

Can confirm.

We had a lawsuit that got us the biometrics appointment in the first place, just about 8 months ago now. The case was never resolved, so like 3-4 months ago, after the statutory limit on how long they can take to process the biometrics passed, we filed a motion basically asking the judge to force them to make a decision. Crickets since then, hasn’t done any good yet.

Printed and sent? They’ll never be sent, but you can bet they’ll tell you to renew in two years and charge you 8,000 Euro for it.

I did my biometrics with my wife on Jul 30th 2025 and still no cards. My friend did her biometrics with her husband in May’25 and got her cards in Mar’25.

Based on this timeline I should be expecting mind in May. Let’s see how the month ends

We were July 28th 2025.

I will be amazed if the cards arrive this month.
