Share your status about recent Massive biometric appointment

Subject: Update on our Golden Visa journey / Withdrawal

I wanted to share an update regarding our Golden Visa process. After missing our biometrics appointment in January, we have decided not to move forward. My husband was unable to attend due to a mandatory professional conference, and despite our attorney notifying AIMA well in advance, he has yet to be rescheduled.

Given the current political uncertainty and the significant capital requirement—over $500,000 plus fees—we have decided to sell our real estate investment while the market remains strong. While we love Portugal dearly, we’ve realized that visiting on vacation is a more practical path for us.

Wishing everyone the best of luck with your applications. We truly hope Portugal continues to grandfather in those currently in the queue!

Do you checked with your lawyer about the new appointment?
I remember in a recent webinar, the lawyer mentioned AIMA is going to release the appointment for applicants applied after Sep2025.

Hi. Can you share is this round of dependent appointment also same as previous? Is AIMA sending massive appointments out ?

I applied in Q3 of 2025 but was left out of the big appointment release last October. I have not heard from my lawyer and there are no updates at ari.sef.pt.

2 Turkish main applicant from end of 2022 and from beginning of 2023 (online app date) got appointment for dependants to 2027 january (both main applicant had biometric in 2026 april).

I applied as the main on December 30, 2025. I received notice today that my biometrics appointment will be December 7, 2026 in Lisbon (updated in the NomadGate database).

Family applications were submitted in late January 2026. Attorneys said to expect later in 2027.

Since I just got mine on a December application, I suspect you’ll hear any minute.

I applied in 20222 Sep , I got my appointment last April, today I got appointment for my children on Dec 2026 but still my wife not yet , is that normal with AIMA to give the kids without their mother !! Or there is something wrong, please advice if any has any experience with the same cases

fingers crossed. out of curiosity, did anything change on the portal or was the only notification from your attorney?

Only from my lawyer

Only from my lawyer too.

Good for you, I will just wait my lawyer advice if it is normal to have the children’s appointment only without my wife.

Have a read of the posts from December 2024 in this old thread

It is really strange , the issue is that the mother does not get the Appointment at all yet

Had my appointment in January of this year; just got appointments for my husband and kids for September 2026 (via our lawyer).

Had my biometrics in January in Cascais. Just got my wife and son’s appointment for January 2027 in Portimao almost 1 year to the day.
No update on my card.

Aye, here we go, AIMA is firing off random appointments once again: me, the principal investor, biometrics in January 2026 (applied in May 2025); spouse, dependent, appointment in Portimao in February 2027.

I updated the entry in the database.
