Given the processing times and new proposed citizenship timeline, my eldest son will probably not qualify as a dependent anymore. We applied back in 2022 when he was just starting university and now he is about to graduate in a few months. Thankfully he is pursuing another 1 year degree but given the processing time, he will probably not be a entitled to the GV around our second or third renewal.
Even if he is somehow enrolled in an institute the entire time, he will go over 26 before we get our citizenships. We have an extremely undesirable passport and getting citizenship for the entire family was one of the primary objectives of doing this.
Is there any information on what would happen then? Would he need to get his own GV from a dependent (if so, would the citizenship clock restart and would there be a fast track to go from dependent to primary GV applicant)?
Can he shift to Portugal on a different visa and have the GV time counted for citizenship application?
Can I transfer my investment to him so he can continue being the main applicant since I will be over 65 by then?
