Hi
I am a Swiss tax resident and after years of audits and potential lingering threats by tax authorities I am tired of constantly being attacked. We always win, but the legal consultation fees and the work it requires are insane. I am looking for a tax residency that allows me to have almost no minimum stay and little investment, so I have a place to declare taxes and can get out of the Swiss radar. So a place with no global income tax and no wealth tax.Any recommendations? Thank you very much!
Look into Paraguay, it has a territorial tax system.
Malta has their Global Residency Tax Regime.
Are you planning on moving out of Switzerland? You will need to effectively cut your relationships and leave Switzerland’s tax net
To truly cut ties with Switzerland for tax purposes, you’ll need to prove you’ve left for good
Cutting ties is gonna be difficult using paraguay, for someone in Alex6 position i think cyprus would be a perfect situation, i have more info about PG BG CYP and GE in a recent post but seeing as he is high net worth and already has issues with tax auth i would reccomend going for Cyprus if 6 months is unacceptable or a 6 month “safe” country
Why do you think so?
Because its a known paper residency, also its financial system is generally untrusted. Tax authorities know this, so even if they dont know wheter you “did it right” they have a higher chance of assuming you didnt and trying anyways.. If youre a cop do you pull over the 4 young males blasting rap or the 2 asian old women if you got a shooting call.
Im not familiar with switserland in particular but PG also doesnt have alot of tax treaties with EU countries, (just checked they dont have doublet axation treaties with Switserland either)
