Would being a south dakota resident with an address on it satisfy US residential address requirement?

Hi,

I have already applied for ITIN and I am looking for a residential address to get a credit card in USA. Can I become a resident of south dakota, get the license and then put my address on it and they apply for credit cards? or is this an overkill lol

My thought process is that even if i use mail forwarding services then if I have a valid ID, they wont penalize me because I can always show an ID?

I will use AMEX global transfer and the I will be applying for Venture X and BILT probably after 1.5 - 2.5 years.

Which cell phone and data is best for application. I am in Canada and I have heard that IP has to be masked. If you could guide me on how it all works that would be great.

Hi, unfortunately getting a South Dakota PMB (personal mailbox) address will not work for US banking purposes according to my research. I moved to Portugal but got overnight SD residency this summer and an SD driver’s license and reregistered an RV in SD so that I have a more normal situation when traveling in the US as opposed to showing my Portuguese ID and drivers license. But I have not tried to use my SD address with any US bank because Google AI says that the banks check addresses against a database maintained by the USPS called the CMRA database in order to comply with Patriot Act regulations
