AIMA Appointment --> Did anyone manage to schedule appointment after uploading the documents again

Haha even if AIMA sends me an unsolicited email giving me an appointment, I would still go even just to see what happens!

Thank you for the information, did the appointment email came as a response to the email you have sent or a separate email thread and what information did you share with them to refer to your application is it application number ,passport number or something else?

My lawyer checked the email I sent him and confirmed that it was a biometric information collection notice sent by aima, so that I could start applying for a visa and go to Porto at the agreed time.

I sent them a screenshot of my update status in the aima system, which contains my personal information, and two deputy applicants can be inquired at the same time, so I received three emails from aima. It’s a separate email, not a reply. It’s an appointment notice sent by different email domain names, from noreply.portalsef@sef.pt

Your lawyer has a lay-up win.

How long does it take to get a reply after you sent it?

Great to hear

like a month

Thank you , i have updated my document couple of weeks back and will try this approach as it seems that no one is getting appointments automatically as planned by Aima .

Jeff_Young - i tried emailing that AIMA address you sent and was sent this response saying their email inbox is FULL. any ideas how else to contact them?

Long weekend in PT this week… and last week… and May 1st is a holiday too. So probably nobody at AIMA clearing down the inbox.

In my view it does not matter Long weekend , Bank Holiday or Working days…business as usual.

Hello, which documents are to be reffreshed and resubmitted?

We have already sent to our lawyer renewed criminal record, birth and marriage certificates all apostilled. Are these three renewed documents enough to submit? Our lawyer says he is waiting for other documents like the house we had purchased has no depts, etc…

FYI I re-emailed AIMA, and this time got no bounce back. So not sure if the inbox opened up, or if the major power out has interfered.

Has anybody recently got an appointment? If yes, when did you do the resubmission?

I just had a call with our lawyers and they said they have been hearing some people started to get appointments in September. Anybody here to comment?

The furthest out confirmed appointment on this thread is in July. So that tell us that AIMA is trying to get appointments dates scheduled in the first half (Before June 2025) that may occur beyond that date. So the goal is all re-submissions should know their biometrics date by then. No idea how far out they will go. September is the furthest out I’ve heard of if that’s true.

Has anybody recently got an appointment?

Yes.

Received a biometric appointment for 28th July.

Having been asked to upload new documents in January, which we did, we are now being asked to obtain new FBI background checks, apostilled, again.
