Does anyone has experience with obtaining birth certificate for indian parents in their 60s that have never had their birth certificate made? The process seems challenging after talking to some brokers in india, any leads are appreciated.
Are they living in India ? or Abroad ? If they live abroad the Indian embassy will make one on the basis of your passport

Is this being suggested based on personal experience ? Or is it an extrapolation of a process followed by other countries (and therefore logically may apply to India too) ?
It was a reading of the Indian high commission website in the country I was in a few years ago ? (Tanzania) buried in “misc consular services”. It is still there but i dont see it in the US or UK ot Kenya websites so I may have misinterpreted it.
