Hi! Does anyone know how to cancel the Portuguese Tax ID (NIF)?
I was so stupid to rush things and received the Tax ID while I was on my research stage on the Golden Visa Program. However, I decided not to go to Portugal and I don’t need the Tax ID anymore.
How do I cancel this? Please help…

How about just leave as it is, is there any negative impact?

Besides, non-residents should have a local representative so I need to keep paying for this…that’s why I want to cancel it.
