I tried to open an account using my Hungarian passport and it said not available in my region. Any advise on this?

I assume you are referring to one of the banks or fintech products I’ve written about on the site? Is it N26, Bunq, Curve, etc?
Also, when trying to sign up, what address are you using, where are you physically located at the moment, and are you using a VPN—if so with which location?

I am currently visiting my grandmother in Israel but I am usually based in Chengdu China as I am a student there studying mandarin. When I am there I use a VPN and the country I connect to depends on which one I am able to connect to st that very second!
