How does an asylum seeker open a bank account like n26. Anyone know of banks like Monese that help people in these kinds of situations?
Monese is definitely a good alternative for people in this situation. N26 should work fine as long as the person has a supported ID document, which I know is not always the case. For asylum seekers based in Germany, they could probably do the ID verification in person at a post office.
Still, I’m not aware of any other mobile banks with an approach that’s as helpful as Monese’s. If anyone knows of other good options, please share it here. For now I’d say Monese is the best option—especially now that they started offering free accounts again.
