A deadline, great to see that. I’m sure with a deadline in place things will be different.

And I suppose it might be easy to reduce the rate of new legal proceedings when everyone’s already filed a lawsuit.

By seperating the appointments of main applicants and dependents, they are effectively increasing the period of naturalization even more for dependents. For families, many dependents will probably age out.

No card yet for me, AIMA Santarem on 10/27/2025, just primary applicant

No, appointment for March 2026 was cancelled and told to renew online. Will renew in a few weeks after fixing online portal technical issues

Primary- 1st renewal- card expired June 2025, appointment October 2025, no card as of May 2026. ( Coincidentally, was at lawyers office today to start renewal process for two dependents- they said they have just started getting a few cards in the last two weeks from the Fall batch of appointments but not mine.)

December 2025 renewals in Porto for dependents. No cards yet.
clock is ticking.

I have not yet received the card for the primary applicant, October 21, 2025, AIMA CACÉM

My husband’s appointment was mid Sep 2025, he received his card mid April (ie 7 months later) and it was dated March 2026. I don’t have his card with me for exact dates but I do have the correct months. My appointment and son’s were around 10 Dec - still waiting for cards. Daughter’s was cancelled due to strike and her appointment rescheduled July. Apparently no more in person renewals so lawyer trying to renew online.

Crickets. No approval, no card. For some reason we got assigned to the Azores.

I received mine last week, I am the primary applicant and office was Vila Real.

Now waiting for dependent’s cards - but they are January 2026 submitted.

@andy1 When did you do your biometrics?

Depends renewal Early Jan 2026 and no cards yet .

No biometrics - lawyer in-person 3rd week of September 2025

No card yet, October Cascais office.. Has anyone received their card through Cascais? I haven’t seen any

Nope, nothing yet.

We don’t have a very good sample size of renewals pending, especially for dependents so it is hard to know if anything is being approved. I don’t know if AIMA is simply putting GVs to the end of the line, or waiting until they have enough to print a batch of GV cards, or if they just don’t have the personnel to process the applications.

It doesn’t make sense that they are printing just a few a month, unless they have just one person who has to review and approve each GV renewal, whereas with D7/D8 perhaps they have 30 people who review and approve those types of residence cards so that is why you are seeing those people get their cards 3 weeks after renewal.

I am the primary applicant at Évora on 26 September 2025 in person by lawyer. No card as of today and do not know where my process landed.
